KI4TQN.com ("we," "us," or "the site") is operated by Avery Parker (callsign KI4TQN). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using this site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Email newsletter and free downloads — name and email address when you sign up via MailerLite forms (GMRS reference card, PACE worksheet, emergency checklist, or general newsletter).
  • Contact form — name, email, subject, and message when you use the contact page.
  • Consulting inquiry form — name, email, property type, location, and message when you request consulting information.

Information collected automatically:

  • Site analytics — pages visited and referral source stored in our server database for internal traffic reporting.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — when enabled, Google may set cookies and collect usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) per Google’s Privacy Policy. We use this to understand which guides and tools are helpful. You can opt out via browser cookie controls or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) maintained by our hosting provider.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Email communications

Marketing and newsletter emails are sent through MailerLite. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You may also contact us at avery@ki4tqn.com to be removed from our lists.

Transactional emails (responses to contact or consulting inquiries) are sent to our business inbox and may include your email address as the reply-to.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links (including Amazon, radio equipment dealers, and Starlink). Clicking these links may allow the merchant to know you came from this site. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the Radio Links page and in the site footer.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our site may set essential cookies for basic operation. Google Analytics (GA4) may set analytics cookies when you accept the cookie notice or continue browsing after your first page view. Data retention

Contact and consulting messages are retained in our mail log as long as needed to respond and maintain business records. Newsletter data is retained in MailerLite until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Site visit logs are retained for internal analytics and periodically summarized.

Data security

We use industry-standard hosting (HTTPS, access controls) but no internet transmission is 100% secure. Please do not send sensitive credentials or payment information through our contact forms — consulting engagements are arranged separately.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. To exercise these rights, email avery@ki4tqn.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
