60 Meter Channel Reference

FCC channelized 60 m allocations for General, Advanced, and Extra class operators. USB only, 100 W ERP (dipole reference), 2.8 kHz bandwidth. Pair with your PACE planner as an HF liaison contingency.

How to use 60 m

  • USB only — upper sideband on the dial frequencies below (not LSB).
  • 100 W ERP — effective radiated power relative to a half-wave dipole (§97.303(s)).
  • Channelized — operate only on the five authorized center frequencies.
  • Emcomm liaison — useful when repeaters fail and you need inter-region HF voice; document in ICS-205 / ICS-210.
  • Not a beginner band — drill band privileges with the General & Extra quiz first.
