Technician License — What Next?

Passing Technician is the beginning of operating, not the end of learning. Week one priorities:

1. Wait for FCC ULS callsign — usually 1–5 business days
2. Open just licensed checklist
3. Program radio before first transmit
4. Listen one net cycle; then check in per first net checklist

Stopping at Technician

Valid for SKYWARN, ARES, and club nets on VHF/UHF. You do not need General immediately. Plan HF when regional outage contingency matters — upgrade path.
