JS8Call coordination
JS8Call uses the same band segments as FT8 for calling. It adds free-text and directed messages on weak-signal paths — useful for skeds when repeaters and phone are down.
- When to use: Marginal propagation, need a directed check-in — see FT8 emcomm guide.
- Not for: Directed voice nets, NTS radiogram precedence, or served-agency record traffic — use radiogram or Winlink instead.
- PACE slot: Contingency weak-signal coordination — document freqs in PACE planner.
