DeliverablesPart 90 sample deliverables
Anonymous excerpts showing how Part 90 fits alongside ham, GMRS, and Meshtastic in a property PACE stack — not a DIY template for spectrum coordination.
Commercial site · encrypted staff voice requirement
Problem stated: Security-sensitive operations cannot use ham or GMRS for daily staff coordination; CTCSS is not encryption. Cell backup failed during a 6-hour outage.
Recommended path: Part 90 UHF LMR with AES-capable mobiles, dedicated repeater pair coordinated through [REDACTED] coordinator, ham/GMRS retained as volunteer Contingency layers only.
Out of scope: Filing as your legal representative; equipment procurement on your behalf without written authorization.
Staff vs security vs maintenance talkgroups
| Group | Service | Use | Encryption |
|---|---|---|---|
| OPS-1 | Part 90 UHF | Daily staff voice | AES |
| SEC-1 | Part 90 UHF | Security patrol | AES |
| MAINT | Part 90 UHF | Facilities / grounds | Optional |
| CONT-HAM | Ham 2m | Volunteer emcomm listen | Prohibited |
Integrated Design deliverable includes programming exports, staff card layout, and drill triggers aligned with PACE planner.
Typical Part 90 path — not a guarantee
- Week 1–2: Requirements workshop + assessment wizard outcomes reviewed.
- Week 3–6: Coordinator engagement, interference study, license application support.
- Week 8–12: Equipment spec, programming, on-site coverage test (On-Site tier).
- Ongoing: Quarterly drill per tabletop outline; coordinator renewals tracked.
When Part 90 is not the answer: Family ranch voice without encryption usually fits GMRS + Meshtastic contingency. Use the decision tree before assuming LMR.
